Gina Gu
D.D.S., M.S.D., PhDDr. Gaoman (Gina) Gu is a General Practitioner of Dentistry with comprehensive and advanced training in Orthodontics from China, Japan, and the United States. She has been in the dental profession for over 38 years. Dr. Gu got her DDS degree in China in 1983. She then completed advanced continuing education and got her certificate in Orthodontics in China in 1986. She pursued advanced orthodontic training in Japan and received her PhD degree in Dental Science in 1997. After receiving her PhD, Dr. Gu moved to the United States and worked for the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Washington from 1998 to 2001. At the UW she completed the Oral Medicine Graduate Program and earned her Oral Medicine Certificate and the degree of Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in 2003. Being a licensed dentist, Dr. Gu has been providing dental services in several dental offices and working for Sunrise Dental since 2007 in Metro Seattle. As well as being a multi-cultural disciplined dentist, Dr. Gu is also an accomplished researcher. Her research involves the fields of craniofacial growth and morphology, head-neck posture, mechanisms of malocclusion, tooth movement and bone distraction. She has been published in many dental journals the United States, Europe, Japan, and China.
Betsy Mosquera
D.D.S., M.S., PeriodontistDr. Mosquera is dedicated to preserving and restoring oral health through individualized periodontal care. She believes successful periodontal treatment begins with education and partnership, helping patients clearly understand their options and feel confident moving forward. With 23 years of practice experience, she stays current through at least 20 to 25 continuing education credits each year and ongoing master seminars that incorporate advanced technology. She graduated in 2000 from Saint Louis University and also trained as a general practitioner in Bogotá, Columbia, building a foundation shaped by university professors. Advanced training includes a fellowship with Dr. Mataria in the ZBL technique and fellowship training in full mouth reconstruction through the 4M Institute with Dr. Goodarzi. Dr. Mosquera is affiliated with DOCS and remains committed to providing outstanding, up-to-date periodontal services tailored to each patient's medical history, personal concerns and long-term goals.
Sophon Heng
D.D.S.Dr. Sophon Heng is Chinese-American born in Cambodia. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, where he did his undergraduate studies in Pharmacy at the University of Washington. Dr. Heng later attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. He has been practicing general dentistry in Arizona for over 20 years. Dr. Heng is proficient in root canal therapy, full and partial dentures, restorative dentistry, crown and bridges, and oral surgery. He is committed to helping people lead healthy lives; prepared for current, future and evolving dental practice models; and maintains high ethical standards and good work ethics, to address his patients dental issues. On his leisure time, Dr. Heng enjoys reading, listening to classical music, gardening, taking care of his tropical fishes, taking care of his orchids in Pacifica, California, and traveling.
Edward Im
D.D.S.Dr. Edward Im grew up locally in Redmond, while actively participating in numerous community sports and activities. Dr. Im graduated as the valedictorian from Seattle University in 1995. Dr. Im has a unique background as a dentist because he first went to Medical School at Creighton University and was a medical officer in the United States Army. However, after a heartfelt career change, he ultimately graduated with distinction and honors from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. Dr. Im is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society. A perfectionist at heart, Dr. Im strives to achieve excellence with every procedure, while practicing compassion with a gentle touch.
Julie Kim
D.D.S.Dr. Julie Kim is a General Dentist who grew up in Connecticut. She moved to upstate New York to attend the University of Rochester, where she earned her B.S. degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. Dr. Kim then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at State University of New York at Buffalo in 2016. After dental school, Dr. Kim pursued an additional year of dental training at the General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. She then practiced as a general dentist in Boston, MA, before moving to the Greater Seattle area in 2018 and joining [practice_name] in 2020. Dr. Kim enjoys building strong and trusting relationships with her patients. She works together with her patients to achieve their dental goals while making sure they feel comfortable and happy during their visit. In her spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys playing the piano, gardening, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

With a deep passion for dentistry and patient comfort, she strives to create a positive experience for everyone she treats. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring nature, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family.
