Edward Im, DDS
Dr. Edward Im grew up locally in Redmond, while actively participating in numerous community sports and activities. Dr. Im graduated as the valedictorian from Seattle University in 1995. Dr. Im has a unique background as a dentist because he first went to Medical School at Creighton University and was a medical officer in the United States Army. However, after a heartfelt career change, he ultimately graduated with distinction and honors from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.
Dr. Im is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society. A perfectionist at heart, Dr. Im strives to achieve excellence with every procedure, while practicing compassion with a gentle touch.
Betsy Mosquera, DDS
Dr. Betsy Mosquera was born in Bogota, Colombia (South America). She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical School of Colombia (Escuela Colombiana de Medicina) in 1991 and moved to the U.S. in 1995. Prior to settling in Seattle, Dr. Mosquerahad a chance to experience life in Boston, Chicago, New York City, and Saint Louis. While residing in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Mosquera received an advanced dental degreein thefield of Periodontics at Saint Louis University. Dr. Mosquera is an active member of American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Mosquera directs our dental hygiene department. Dr. Mosquera takes care of patients that may require an advanced periodontal care; these treatments may include dental implants, surgical and non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease and numerous other surgical procedures that improve the health of her patients as well as their smile.
Julie Kim, DDS
Dr. Julie Kim is a General Dentist who grew up in Connecticut. Then she moved to upstate New York to attend University of Rochester for B.S. degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. Then Dr. Kim received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at State University of New York at Buffalo 2016. After dental school, Dr. Kim pursued additional year of dental training at General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. She then practiced as a general dentist in Boston, MA and moved to Greater Seattle area few years ago.
Dr. Kim enjoys building strong and trusting relationships with her patients. She will work together with her patients to achieve their dental goals while making sure patients feel comfortable and happy during their visit. In her spare time, Dr. Kim enjoys listening to music, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
Gina Gu, DDS
Dr. Gaoman (Gina) Gu is a General Practitioner of Dentistry with comprehensive and advanced training in Orthodontics from China, Japan, and the United States. She has beenin the dental profession for over 38 years.
Dr. Gu got her DDS degree in China in 1983. She then completed advanced continuing education and got her certificate in Orthodontics in China in 1986.
She pursued advanced orthodontic training in Japan and received her PhD degree in Dental Science in 1997.
After receiving her PhD, Dr. Gu moved to the United States and worked for the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Washington from 1998 to 2001. At the UW she completed the Oral Medicine Graduate Program and earned her Oral Medicine Certificate and the degree of Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in 2003. Bing a licensed dentist, Dr.Gu has been providing dental services in several dental offices and working for Sunrise Dental since 2007 in Metro Seattle.
As well as being a multi-cultural disciplined dentist, Dr. Gu is also an accomplished researcher. Her research involves the fields of craniofacial growth and morphology, head-neck posture, mechanisms of malocclusion, tooth movement and bone distraction. She has been published in many dental journals the United States, Europe, Japan, and China.
